well i have layered hair

dark brown with red and blonde highlights

my hair is kinds thick aand goes down to my shoulders

a couple inches past that

but i want a new style more shorter

and more modern

like idk how

but i jus want to do somthing with my hair

and i noo.. i want to cut it

so if anyone has ideas

Don't cut it to short and get rid of the red highlights. Try a different color for highlights plus you should get a side bang.

It's more about the shape of your face. We won't be able to say what would look best without knowing that. I am not brave enough to do it myself, but I like the new bobs (some asymetrical) that are out. Side bangs are also good.

try getting it thinned from underneath shoulder length face framed with your layers starting at about your ear (bottom)

Maybe even tip it with like pink or blue.

New hair suggestions?

I need/want to know what hair styles i can wear because its the summer and i want a change. I also want to know if rubber bands or schrunchis are harmful to my hair because i always wore it in a pony tail. i also tried wearing it down naturally. (it doesn't work) And i can't get perms or coloring so my options are sort of limited.

(I my hair grew down to my elbows and i remember i got a perm from this lady, in a few months my hair went from my elbows to my shoulders. the lady didn't even know how to do her own hair and she didn't take care of mine. I couldn't do anything about it. that's why i can't get perms.) its been 5 years and my hair is still trying to recover. but that's a different story

If you have very curly hair, long is usually the best way as I know a lot of curly-haired girls who have completely regretted cutting their hair short. Cutting some layers into it will help relieve a lot of the bulk from the perm, however.

Also, if you're not opposed to blowing out/straightening your hair, a bob is always a great, stylish cut. I think that singer Rihanna has a very cute one that works on square set faces.

so right now i have been staightening my hair and its geting really boring, and since my hair is thin it doesnt look that great. and im starting hs in the fall and neeed a NEW hair style that doesnt involve cutting it.

I have the same type of hair. Use your flat iron and halfway down your hair twist it around and it will make very loose curls. I thought i would hate myself in curls because i usually flat iron it and it looks great!!! If u cant use the flat iron to curl it then use a curling iron!!! Good Luck!

Is it naturally curly? If so, then buy some kind of gel that helps curl your hair and scrunch it up. It's cute and new.

I did a google search for the type of hairstyle I want and came up with several of that type of site. Some you have to sign up for, even if they are free, but I know that there were quite a few that were no charge.

Unfortunately, I can't remember the names of those particular sites because I didn't have a pic to upload so I didn't keep track of them but if you go to google, you should be able to find them easily.

I have long hair, not down to my butt, but it's almost there, and i LOVE IT AND WOULD NEVER CUT IT. i have the exact same problem! it never curls, so i usually just wear it in a ponytail. My friend showed me how to do this braid, it looks gorgeous in either one long one down the back or two on either side, and when you take it out your hair is wavy and pretty.

my friend (who had hair to her butt) just chopped it all off to her shoulders. i LOVE it now.

i agree, cut it. long hair is beautiful, but its always fun to change things up. and you dont have to cut it short. but i understand that if you havent cut you hair in a long time in can be really hard. so dont feel obligated.

I used to have really long hair, too, but I cut it and sent it to Locks of Love. You could do that. A fun hairstyle to try is just two braids for that "school girl" look. Or for a European twist, pull the ends of those braids up and tie them with ribbon. Also, you can just Google hair styles. I do every so often for some creative ideas. And you can ask your local hair dresser.

donate your hair to locks of love =) I did it once, everyone loved my hair and it felt great..... my friend has hair about your length and whenever one of us get it cut she gets mad and like screams at us because she wants us all to donate(even though I already did) haha lol...but anyway its MUCH more stylish and most importaintly, its for a GREAT cause!

small tight curls . you will need 0.5 in curling iron , hairspray. hairspray a strand at a time apply iron curling tightly for few seconds and unravel spray lock do this to all hair you can choose to wear up or down either way you decide you will look stunning. Also, crimping hair in same fashion is not time consuming results are worth it.
