if you're going for a shorter cut, avoid cropped hairstlys a la selma blair. super short hairstlyes tend to accentutate the roundness of your face, and avoid parting hair in the center and opt side parting as it gives the face more structure and balance.
i know from experience that when one's hair is straight down their head looks accentuated. therfore in one looks best and u could put it in a bun w/ chopsticks. or do half up half down.

You could put it into two side braids that can hang in the front or one total side braid those always look good. If you want a more chill look then a sloppy bun would be good too.

Take a small section using hair from the center of your forehead and pull it back away from your face and twist it. Use 2 bobby pins and criss cross them in an x shape as you put them in one at a time to secure hair. Leave the rest of your hair straight and you can even kind of tease it up around this....should be really cute!

I know your hair is shorter, and I would use a lot smaller section than this and keep it closer to your forehead and pulled tight....but just so you can kind of get an idea....

You didn't really tell us what type of hair, like if it's just straight or curly or whatever. Since you didn't mention anything, I'm going to assume it's straight. Try taking a curling iron to it and give it a bunch of little ringlets, or scrunch it with mousse and add a headband. Or maybe it's wavy or curly already, then try straightening it or something. Another cute style would be to take your side bangs and pull them back and clip them, creating a poof. That would look really cute with your short hair and curls.

i have curly wavy hair so i straighten it alot.when i dont feel like striaghtening it or just get plain tired of it i scrunch it. you can use hairspray--mousee--gel--or ne other styling products. =]

Ok I have medium length curly hair, and I have just discovered moose. I love it, it is my new best friend, especially because I hate standing for 30 minutes while I blow dry my hair straight, so just put some noose on and the curls do the rest. That or cut it really short and spike it. It's all on you.

Here is a cute way to style you hair!
1. Brush hair (duh)
2. Brush about a 1 inch section of hair forward (It must be from the center.) so that it hangs in your face like long bangs.
3. Scrape all of your hair into a loose pony tail at the very back of your head.
4. Tease the section at the front. To do this, take a brush and brush your hair in the wrong direction, creating a fuzz.
5. Pull this back carefully, creating a "poof"!
6. Let out the pony tail and, holding tightly, scrape it back into a tighter pony tail a little higher, including the end of your "poof" hair.
7. Secure tightly.
8. Cover the part of the pony tail with a cute heart clip. You can do this by gluing a heart cut out of red or pink construction paper onto a pin. (Or use a heart in a color that matches your dress. You can use felt pens to color on a pattern!)
9. (optional) Curl end of pony tail.
HAVE FUN!!!!!

for winter formal i put my hair in a pony tail and curled it all. i then rolled the top part of my hair and bobby pinned them to my head. i rolled them in small sections and pinned them so that they would stand up. i left the bottom part long and curly. it took a long time to do because i have thick hair and i wanted it to be pretty curly, but i got a bunch of complements on it in the end. go on youtube for more suggestions and step by step videos. thats where i got my hairstyle and it really helps.

Depends on your facial features. Anyway a couple low maintance dews are a simple bob or a shag.
Change the part up a bit. Heavy in one side. Change the side up from time to time.
Pull it back, but make sure some is still falling loosely forward in front.
This might take some time, but just curl the ends upwards, to give it more swing. Just the tiniest bit of curl upwards makes a huge difference! Use a curling iron with a big rod.

What about a messy bun or pony taiil with a plait round it...one of my fave's go to put it in a bun but not a biig bun and leave some spiked over the edge and just spike it up. Help! I'm stuck with the same hairstyles! i have long, brown, thick curly hair, and i can't do anything with it. When i leave it down, the back gets poofy when it dries. So i always put it up. And suggestion? other than straightening it??
WELLL YOU ARE A LUCKEY PERSON i have long curly hair and its thick i wear it in different ways all te time i would put your hair to the side behind your ear and let your hair fall before the hair that is behind your hair then the hair that is supooseabaly supposed to poof then use a really strong or just regular moose or hair spray. :) i hope you like my answer
go to the salon and ask themto put some long layers in it. It will not look so poofy when it's dry that way. Get some longer bangs that you can pull to the side if you want to. Try braiding or an inverted ponytail. There are so many cool barrettes and headbands out there. Try them all!
use a curl defining product. go to your hair salon and ask if they have any tips. my sister has poofy, curly hair and now she uses a product that she got from a salon and her hair is so beutful. she can actually wear it down now
Take a small portion of your bangs and barrette them where your cowlick used to be when you were a baby, causing them to "poof" just slightly.
Pull the sides tight and bobby pin (in a criss-cross for a good hold) them just under your barrette. Now you can leave it down or pull the back side into a bun or pony tail.
I have really thick, frizzy curly hair. I get it layered every six weeks or so, and I also have my stylist "thin it out." This helps me to keep it under control. To keep my curls from "poofing" too much, I put a small amount of Trader Joes moisturizing lotion in it when it's wet. It is not oily at all, and it keeps my curls curly rather than kinky.
dont straighten it. but since your hair gets pooffy you should put any product that keeps your hair like free from frizz and use that after you take a shower then put alot of gel in it and sleep like that and most of the gel and frizz stuff will have come out in the morning just leaving your hair without frizz so put a little more gel in it or hair spray whichever one works best and then it should stay like that for the rest of the day...

maybe you should take a few extra dollars and go to a salon. Let a pro give you a makeover. maybe some low lights and a shorter cut, that would be more manageable and give you a great summer look.

well it all depends on your ethnicity (race) and your hair type.
Straight is always cool...use a flat iron and straightening serum such as paul mitchel's straight works or garnier fructise's straightening serum
For natural curls, put moose (i reccomend Loreal Studio moose) or a scrunching gel (I reccomend Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Scrunching gel). Scrunch your hair and let your hair air dry or use a blow dryer with a diffuser on it to minimize frizz and flyaways
Ponytails are great classics that are always in style as long as they are done right. Ponytail your hair.Then if there are any frizzies or flyaways on the side, simply give them a quick spritz or hair spray to keep them down.

maybie you should consider getting an inch off, if not, then try curling it, a french braid (or two french braid pigtails), two braids, or clip half of it up with a nice clip. you could also get bangs! or wear it in a messy bun.!

I have hair up to my butt...i always put it in a pony tail because i dont know wut to do with it...i dont want to do anyting that is WoW cuz people then talk about it and i hate that....something i can do real easily in the morning that will take my 15-20 minutes...

Layers! Layering it will make it lighter, and easier to style, you can throw some mousse, or pomade and let it dry, it will take on your natural curls (if you have any). It will give you some style and you can still keep your length, if you want to, I suggest taking a few inches off though, make sure it's good and healthy and not stringy looking. Maybe a few natural highlights would give you some pick me up too, anyway...Have fun with it!
I think that you should add a few layers to your hair, so when your bored with it, you can add some curls or put part of it back and let some down. Super cute and you won't loose the length. An example: Blake lively's hair.

My friend showed me how to do this braid, it looks gorgeous in either one long one down the back or two on either side, and when you take it out your hair is wavy and pretty.

I used to have really long hair, too, but I cut it and sent it to Locks of Love. You could do that. A fun hairstyle to try is just two braids for that "school girl" look. Or for a European twist, pull the ends of those braids up and tie them with ribbon. Also, you can just Google hair styles. I do every so often for some creative ideas. And you can ask your local hair dresser.

Being punk is a lifestyle and personality; not some silly hairstyle. But you're going to have to get it shorter, and probably dye it some bright, neon colours etc. Alot of layers, really. An you'll have to straighten it.

If you are going for punk then I would definatley go for the side bangs and make it choppy around the edges. I think that it should be shoulder length, but it isn't my hair. Then wear lots of headbands and put funky highlights like pink or purple. Then you would REALLY look punk!

Well, I would start by changing the colour of your hair!
First of all, dont by cheap dyes from the store. When people do them theirselves, it wont usually turn out to good. Go to a hairstylest and get it done. I would make it a nice rich brown, or an aubrum ( not sure of spelling). If you want, put some nice highlights in it, not to colourful, not to bright, a few shades lighter than your haircolour, to give your hair some volume.
For the hair style, I would for sure layer it up, make it have some more volume. Change the Length of it. Make sure its a length maybe at your shoulders or a little higher, whichever you like. I thinnk it would look pretty good wavy.
If you want, but a staitner, and use that. Just dont use it too much, or your hair will dry out and the colour will fade. You could also get a perm and the hair stylists to turn your hair straitened. Wavy will look ncie if you cant, as long as you keep it under control. If blowdrying it after a shower keeps it good, then do that. Experiemnt with different shampoos and techniques to figure out which will keep your hair under contorl, and the way you like it.

I want to get a change in hair for my school prom which is two weeks away and am looking for a bit of a change from the usual.
Currently i have dark blonde hair with a few light blonde highlights. It is layered and shoulder length with quite a thick fringe that i was growing out to get levelled off but now im not quite sure so it's sorta split into 2 parts on my forehead. It is quite tired looking and lacks life that i need to impress when i go to prom.

u can have the front like the part where the bangs are pinned back and the rest of your hair curly.
u can also put your finger in the top of your head then half wayand grab that portion then puff it a little and tie, or hold it their and hairspray for the puff.
Keep it soft and natural. Definitely wear it down, healthy looking is always the best style. Maybe start deep-conditioning it right now and see what happens. Do not do anything weird the night before or the morning of!
twist it up into little buns and sleep on it to make it curly, then the next day you pull it up in a really high pony and bobby pin some of the curls all over your head. then if you want you can add a ribbon or some flowers.

She's got a cute, spunky, firecracker personality, and loves colors like green, yellow, and orange. She can pull off a funky do, but I just can't figure out how to do anything.
I've tried doing a messy spiky do with a super stiff gel that has fibers in it, and topping it off with hair spray, but in 3 hours it has gone flat. I tried putting velcro bows in, and they fall out. I even tried gluing the velcro bow in with a dab of the gel glue (which held for about 4 hours).
I'm not sure where to find hair accessories that might work for her, and haven't a clue about how to fix her uber short hair. I've looked at websites, but they all seem to be for adults.
I think it is a cute the way it is. Having said that, I remember my gran-daughter having short hair that was very similar and everyone thought she looked like a boy in her pictures.
Headbands seem to be in and I bet you could get something cute at the dollar store. With that hair cut it would look like it was planned.

use bobby pins and pin it half up, it looks pretty good, another style could be a side part
try putting pulling it half way on to the top of your head and clipping it then pulling hair out to the frint, kinda like a bump.
Put It in a high Pony tail and use bobbie pins. You can do a half-updo and leave half down and half up in a pony tail and at the crown make sure you push it up a little so it will have a little more umph. Put it in low pigtails, Its cute when I do that.
I have the same problem with my hair. After it has been scrunched and is nice and dry, try scooping it up in a clip on the back of your head and then pulling some curls out to look kind of messy. This looks really cute. Another one that looks good on me is to take (again, after it is dry so it has some body) hair in front of your face and twist it and use a bobby pin to pin it straight back on top of your head. This looks kind of dressy. Even doing the half-ponytail-half-down style is cute, with the hair combed back into a pony and half your hair left loose underneath.

How long is your hair? Maybe try a perm, only if your hair is in good condition, and a hair professional can tell that right away. That will give you more options. Mouse and a little teasing after it is dry will give it volume. Finish it with spritz or your favorite finishing spray and Ta-Da...good to go!
you can try to pony tail it but you really dont want to do too much 'cause you hair will fall out and you really dont want that to happen

Since your hair is thin you want to add volume to make it appear fuller. Try a roller set or a triple wave iron which would give you really pretty waves.
My hair's kinda strawberry-blonde color. Medium length. Layered a lot. It's naturally somewhat wavy. Sometimes I leave it natural, sometimes I straighten it. So I basically have no hw tonight for the first time in the past 5 years (seriously it's awesome) so I'm going to go to bed early and get up early and do something cool to my hair since it's the last day before break tomorrow. whatever u do..DON'T PUT IT UP! cuz i have the same hair in burnette. and with layered hair, if u put it up...it will fall out eventually. u should scruch it, or (if u have bangs) put them up and straighten ur layers.
leave it wavy but put it in some cute pigtails. leave out the bangs

gel it deffinetly!
put a hand of gel in and flip your head. scrunch it. and then let it dry after you spray it with hair spray. dont put gel on hte top. let it dry :D i do it alll the time it looks great ! good luck

Both. You're very pretty, so pretty much anything would suit you. Long hair looks amazing on you. Don't ever cut it. Also, your hair looks good just the way it is now.
god i don't know....you look a lot more beautiful than either one of those other women. so if i had to pick i guess the first one but sheeeesh i don't see how you can go wrong ....no matter what.

My hair is growing thicker but it is still not thick enough to hold itself in ponytails. It CAN stay in a pony tail, just someone the front hair comes out. I am growing my side bangs out. Side ponytail is too preppy for me and same with pig tails, half pony tail is too hard to do because I have little time in the mornings. And leaving my hair down isn't good because my hair is soo used to being in ponytails that it gets a lump in the back of my head. Like barbie dolls when you had their hair up for a while then took it down and they had that HUGE lump hahahaaha mine isn't thatt big!!

I have curly hair too..here are some of my personal favorite hair styles..
1.) Pull a little bit of the hair on each side of your head up and pull it down the middle of your head, and then use bobby pins to hold it down.
2.) Braid/ponytail that you rest on one of your shoulders.
or
3.) Just leave it down, and put a cute headband with it.
pull all of your hair back into a tall ponytail. then it is out of your eyes.

wash it . then dry it then then straiten it and then recurl it so that u have nice curls in yo hair but i think u should go to the hair salon they do a better job then us despirite gurls. and it'll come out nicer
do u scrunch your hair? if you havent, its when your either re-shape your curls into spirals when its wet with mousse or gel, or when you...its sort of hard to explain...you take random sections of hair and you clench your fists with gel/mousse is all over them and your "scrunch it" to the top of your head. but im sure you have done that before.
It depends if it is a dress then wear it up, but if it is a skirt wear it down.
