Hair style for the new year?

ok so I have an oval shape face...light skin, black hair. Right now my hair is just a little below my shoulders and my hair is wavy at the bottom.. since the new year is coming, i was thinking of getting a new hair cut (but i dont want to make it hella short) i want to kinda keep the same length but style it differently..so what should i do? should i get bangs? if so what kind? help pleaseeeeeeeeee

I'd consider something like an angled cut to compliment your face structure (I have a similar face shape). Something shorter in back angled to longer in the front would look really great and you could make it as edgy as you want depending on the angle you choose. Longer in the front means you could still pull it back in a pony tail if you wanted. This style would also work if you leave your hair naturally wavy at the bottom or if you blow it out straight.

you have the best shaped face out of all of them.

any hairstyle looks good on an oval shaped face.

here's my suggestion:

look on the internet for pictures of ladies with hair that is similar to yours. because you have the ideal face shape this actually doesn't matter as much. it's the type of hair that matters more. if the person in the picture has fine hair, obviously that style will not work with your hair.

you need to find the picture of a person who has your type hair, this will help much more in deciding whether or not you really want that particular style. take a bunch of pictures with you to the salon.

The more info. I have to work with in the consultation the better. oh and by the way in your consultation you should tell the stylist all of the following:

how much time do you spend on your hair?

what kind of products do you use at home?

what do you like about your hair?

what don't you like about your hair?
